Patricia Kombo is a climate change and Adaptation master’s student at the University of Nairobi. She started the initiative in 2019 while at University pursuing a bachelor’s degree in communications and Journalism. Her idea was born after volunteering to visit the Northern part of the country during the Kenyans for Kenya initiative, a collaborative approach by Kenyans to support communities who were being impacted by droughts.
1. Foster environmental education and literacy in schools through the creation of environmental.
2. Promote sustainable land use practices that will help communities adapt and mitigate the effects of climate change.
3. Help the country attain the 10% forest cover by planting both fruit trees and non-fruit trees.
